As Shakespeare said... 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.'
Did any of you know this? (Sorry if this has been talked about already, but I hadn't.) I'm assuming this is probably where Prince got it from. Unless this line originated from some bible verse I have never heard.

Shakespeare is one quotatious BAMF.
"Methinks it is like a weseal!"

If you pealed back the pedals from this fine shaped rose, would it smell the same by any other name? News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Shakespeare is very quotable, but the fellow behind "Hell hath no fury.."
("... Nor hell a fury, like a woman scorn'd") is William Congreve. It's from his play The Mourning Bride, written in 1697. (Don't know how interesting you find this - I just wanted to mention it). Well, lucky-lucky us. Lucky-lucky-luck.

Prince should have sung "What can I say Shakespeare or William Congreve hasn't said before?" in I Like It There!
If you want some Shakespeare that Prince has quoted, how about "All that glisters is not gold" from The Merchant Of Venice, Prince turns it into "All that glitters ain't gold" in Gold.

Is Prince seriously the first person you'd heard that line from? [Edited 9/5/06 19:09pm] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

No, Prince is not the first one, but I didn't know what its origins were, if even Shakespeare. But of course, maybe you know a lot more than I do, so... it's nothing new to you. There sure are a lot of experts in this website. Pretty amazing!

To quote a great poet from the 20th century:
Guard your folks who date your daughter The sexy motherfucker's so fine, I'll drink her bath water A long-legged 5-foot-8 packin' an ass as tight as a grape I wanted 2 spit my game but said 2 myself, "Hmm, just conversate" Cuz I'm usually quite the calm one U never found me out prowlin', boy, I'm just havin' fun But I had 2 change my state of mind 4 this behind I bet if U throw that ass in the air, it would turn into sunshine -- Tony M.
