You don't know about the chili's?

The last three albums have been compressed for maximum loudness; there is lots of clippings.

Go to winencylopedia(or whatever it's called) and read about californication, by the way or stadium arcadium; TERRIBLE!

John even said he wasn't happy with it and the master tapes were much better. There has even been petitions to get Warners to remaster the albums!

Prince is mu fav artist but not my fav singer. I still think Michael Jackson 77-87 has the most beautiful and clear voice, together with Maxwell.
And Thom Yorke and John Lennon's vocals are the most emotional.
But no one compares to Prince' screaming!

Snap

Keith Green, because he cuts to the soul more than most anyone has done before or since. Prince is "fun" (usually) but many others are more often meaningful and purposeful with their message and music.

Even as a child I never understood this logic. It seemed quite limiting to me. Maybe it's because I grew up in the 80's where FM radio and MTV were playing a wide range of music.

Even know, I like listening to the radio then to have a CD playing.

Many artist have great songs. I don't see what good it might do to someone to limit their likes to a microtrope of best liked.

maybe I'm just indecisive, I don't know.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

John Lennon/Beatles

The quality of their songs (melody, lyrics, hook) is higher than Prince's on the whole. If Prince could spend more time on his melodies, lyrics & song structure and then go arrange & record the song like he always does, he'd surpass the Beatles.

actually, i'd say i'm 50/50 with prince and bowie in terms of who's my favorite. i get tired of one for a while, i pick up with the other till i'm burnt out. i'd probably be a bigger bowiephile if there were a david.org where i could fam out more often.

I am the same way...about 60/40 (Prince/Bowie). Bowie has interesting stages in his career which come together like a big puzzle. P may not do what he used to, but his music is almost like the soundtrack of my life (to an extent).

Outside of those two, Hendrix rounds out my top 3.

i don't care who's better or worse than prince. everyone else is just another product of music. i don't admire or adore them as much no matter what kind of musicians they are.

Prince and Pat Metheny are tied in first. Who's my fave on a particular day simply has to do with my moods or how long it's been since I last heard one of them.
Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.
