I don't have immediate proof, but if I had the time, I would research and back what, in my opinion, would be proof to all of my statements that I have made in this thread.

oh very much what I believe. But again - I never said anyone else must believe that too. It is your choice. And again I say that the Republican party is not perfect - it is made of people - people will never be perfect on this earth so of course there are problems there. But as far as I'm concerned I am very much in support of the Republican party - as it is more in line with my own beliefs. I didn't come here to start shit - just to show that there are some folks that visit the org that are Republican, and should put in their feelings too. Oh and Herb, don't dis me - we had a good time waiting in line for the second Atlanta show - so you know its all good.[/quote] OK. I was really dissing Republicans, so I guess you're bound to get caught in some crossfire there. Duck when I shoot... I disagreed with a lot you said, but obviously we can get along, at least at a show.,.

JediMaster said: I love how the Republicans try to blame all the crap that happens in their administrations on the President before them! Hell, Reagan tried to blame all the economic woes of his administration on Carter, as did Bush Sr. Well, if that's the case, then Reagan and Bush were the worst presidents EVER, because they couldn't undo in 12 YEARS what Carter screwed up in 4!!!
Jimmy Carter posesses more integrity and character than all of the other Presidents I've seen in my lifetime COMBINED. He may have been a shitty president - frankly, I was too young to remember it really - but as a person, he is by the far the President for whom I posess even a shred of reverence.

I find the current political situation disgusting. We have a president who really has not addressed the economy at all. We have Worldcom/Enron/ and who knows who else screwing over the public and then the Prez wants us to invest in the stock market? Hello!? How about actually getting some of these SOB's behind bars for sleeping in bed with both political parties?
I really think that there is no real doctrine for the Republican or Democratic parties. Too many old heads and not enough new blood. Down here in the South(yee-haw!), the (some)conservatives are in bed with the religious right and that is some scary s*** right there. In their minds, gays, minorities, pro-choicers and liberals on a whole are the "plague", which is absolutely absurd! The self righteousness of the Right is almost on par with 1930's Germany. The Dems are guilty of playing the race card to death down here in the South. It gets annoying seeing good people get attacked on the basis of political correctness. A political party should not force-feed their dogma down individuals throats. The politics of the Southern dems is almost McCarthy era in the manner in which they attack those not aligned with the 60's civil rights movements. Ultimately, both parties have faults (as do human beings), which is why I vote Libertarian (go ahead and laugh)!!! Peace!
