I could go on and on about how much better the Republican party is and how the liberals...excuse me democraps ... are the reason all this shit is happening. Thank God for George W. Bush ... we will see how his administration is cleaning up the garbage from the clintons. I am a die hard Republican and proud of it. Are the Republicans perfect - hell no - but they are in much better shape than the democrats. At least they don't advocate killing babies.

That being said I do respect everyone's right to their own opinion. If you are a democrat or libertarian, more power to you - stand up for what you believe in! That is all I am doing.

What the hell does that mean anyway? I am FOR abortion? How utterly fucking rediculous. This is the problem I have with the Party of which you are proudly fond. Everything does not have to involve choosing up sides and drawing lines in the sand. Sometimes, in a free society - and I know this pisses off most Republicans - you have to tolerate some things that you don't like in order to persue the things that you do.

Libertarian Party creates medical marijuana ad

The Libertarian Party has finished creating a medical marijuana television ad, a tool that will be used in an effort to oust “the most rabid Drug Warrior in Congress,” U.S. Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA).

The 30-second ad, which may be viewed at www.randforcongress.com, features a moving testimonial from an elderly medical marijuana patient who suffers from multiple sclerosis.

Carole Ann Rand, the LP candidate for Barr’s U.S. House seat in the Fifth District, will run the ad in an attempt to cause Barr to lose a primary election against fellow Republican John Linder. That election will be held on August 20.

“This commercial is a scathing indictment of the most rabid Drug Warrior in Congress,” said LP Political Director Ron Crickenberger, who helped produce the ad. “It does a good job of putting a human face on the cruel and destructive war on medical marijuana.”

The ad opens with a shot of multiple sclerosis sufferer Cheryl Miller laying on a stretcher. An announcer’s voice says, “Why does Bob Barr want this woman in jail?”

Miller then introduces herself as a medical marijuana user and says, “Bob Barr thinks I should be in jail for using my medicine. Why would you do that to me, Bob?”

At that point, the announcer says, “When the Drug War turns on our own sick and dying, it’s just gone too far – and so has Bob Barr.”

About $5,000 worth of advertising has been purchased to broadcast the ad in Barr’s district on August 7, said Crickenberger. More ad time will be purchased with donations raised via Rand’s website.

A second ad featuring medical marijuana patients is currently in production, said Crickenberger, and will be easily customizable for use by other LP candidates.

The ads are a part of the Libertarian Party’s “Incumbent Killer Strategy,” which seeks to remove the worst Drug Warriors from Congress. The strategy is one component of the party's plan to end federal drug prohibition by 2010.

One thing that grates on me is how the US manages to whip up all of this compassion and sympathy for surpressed citizens specifically in the countries where an oil field or two exists. oh very much what I believe. But again - I never said anyone else must believe that too. It is your choice.

And again I say that the Republican party is not perfect - it is made of people - people will never be perfect on this earth so of course there are problems there. But as far as I'm concerned I am very much in support of the Republican party - as it is more in line with my own beliefs. I didn't come here to start shit - just to show that there are some folks that visit the org that are Republican, and should put in their feelings too.

This nation is NOT in good shape. The economy is in a state of panic, and the morals of the nation are shit. Alot of the people in this country (and world) have become a prideful bunch of self-righteous greedy liars. Foolish pride will always cause people to fall. When the ancient civilization built a tower to the heavens to show God that they were self sufficient and didn't need anyone's help, and that they could have a world society of people together under man, God tore it down. God crushed the tower of Babel.

World Trade Center? A world economy and free trade? One world government led by one leader? Possibly one religion?

W blames Clinton, Clinton blamed Bush, Bush sucked Reagan's ass and blamed it on Carter, Carter tried to be neutral but blamed Nixon, Ford and Nixon were chums, Nixon blamed El B-J, El-B-J conspired to take out Kennedy(s), etc, etc, etc, and on and on and on. They have all acted questionably, some have been criminal. Money should be taken out of politics. No lobbyists, no other "special interests" no corporate sponsorship, just plain DIRECT VOTING BY THE POPULATION.

I love how the Republicans try to blame all the crap that happens in their administrations on the President before them! Hell, Reagan tried to blame all the economic woes of his administration on Carter, as did Bush Sr. Well, if that's the case, then Reagan and Bush were the worst presidents EVER, because they couldn't undo in 12 YEARS what Carter screwed up in 4!!!

Bush has completely fucked-up, IMO. And I don't buy this crap that Gore wouldn't have struck back if he were president. ANY president put in that position would retaliate. Gimme a fuckin' break! Hell, I don't think Bush is really doing all that great of a job. All he's doing is using the attacks as an excuse to take freedoms away. He wants to set up a war tribunal on an island somewhere? He wants to set up a secret police to spy on Americans? Sounds very Nazi Germany to me!

Clinton blamed Bush and Reagan for the slow economy and recession (which, they were probably right, IMO, but, however, is still blaming).
