Why isn't anyone talking about P & Whole Lotta Love?

Today's ELECTRIC version alone is just AMAZING!

I don't usually start topics but I'm in awe of the Celebration MP3s that I've been picking up here.

I always knew Prince was a closet Zeppelin fan, these versions take the old original idea of a Zep song to another level.

Prince is like an onion, just pull back another layer and watch...

Is this thing on?

I was wondering the same thing. I first heard his cover at the Toronto soundcheck, but I was so assaulted by the whole experience that I could not enjoy the song at its fullest. Now that i have this mp3, I can listen to it repeatedly. I'd love to hear some guitarist give their learned opinion.

Honestly, i was less somewhat underwhelmed by it, although it was interesting. I've always wanted to hear Prince cover Led Zep. I think it needs to be "plugged" and haven't heard the electric version.

The James Taylor cover was moving along nicely until he let that dude in the audience sing lead, with the rest of the audience doing the chorus. Really de-railed the whole song for me.

I really like the Whole Lotta Love peformances, the plugged one even more than the acoustic one.
You've got a Friend is great, too. Funny when he sings "nothing seems to go right" and then says "like the air-conditioning".

I got the electric version from freemyheart.com and it's amazing!! But what's this other version? And, can someone provide a link? That'd be very, very cool.

His Guitar Picking was Cool but I didn't like His Vocals on it that much.

He's referring to the alt.binaries.multimedia.prince newsgroup; but, I spent all night last night downloading a 20.5MB 52-part file with crappy my 56K modem for "Whole Lotta Love" to find that the file was a dud after I combined/decoded the thing. Pain in the ass.

Don't bother unless you've got high-speed access. Of course, I thing I may be the only lost soul with a 56K.

Plugged, baby, plugged!

Loved it! Always wanted a whole album of Prince laying on his guitar like that.

I'll be in the minority, but I wasn't impressed by either the acoustic or the plugged versions. shrug
