The gun mic is a funk prop ala George Clinton/70's Superfly type of thang.
Godfather 3 meets Barbarella---some space out scifi funk ganster glam stuff.
I always kinda like this thing since it is an actual working microphone and Prince is skilled at whirling it around like Doc Holiday.
