Prince - New Album

Is there any news from the grapevine/underground as to what kind of album he is working on at the moment??

no, but i'm sure the fake tracklists from the usual crew of org charlatans will be rolling in by the end of the year, so that should at least provide some entertainment for us all.

Prince is currently stroking his collective genius, he needs more lube, but a new CD could be ready to splearge out within two months, though he's said he's holding this one back so that it might go the distance and stick to the wall.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Prince is for sure working on something new. I know this for a fact, as I was recently out in LA making a documentary about Tupac for the BBC. I interviewed Johnny J, who produced a lot of Tupac's trax and he told me his studio engineer is working with Prince on some new stuff right now.

That really means that the 3121 era is definately over. sad Oh well thats too bad and it was fun while it lasted.
I am looking for his next album. I wondered is he going back to doing online releases?

All he needs to do is piss off the majors again into not wanting to work him again, and he'll be relaunching his download service. wink

Great to know, thanks for that.

Johnny J in my estimation was on of 2PAC's best producers. Why they haven't used him more on these Amaru releases I don't know.

Rumor has it that the album will be a minimalist piece featuring a metal spoon and empty Folger's Crystals Coffee Can.

well, I heard that the new album will be an "astral mind projection". Prince thinks the album, records him thinking it, and presses it to cd. People who buy it play it (it's 74 mins of silence) and the album sounds are projected into their minds and they hear it in their heads.

I want Scarlet Polka...

LMAO at this thread.

Damn you Org! mad I've tried to quit you lately with your insipid threads ...(okay, maybe half-heartedly attempted to quit) but damn it the sarcasm here is like crack to me. I gotta have more.

Just thought I'd share...
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I heard through the string and tin can that the next project is heavily influenced by Cajun Zydeco.
