I made a comment about this fact in release of the CD thread. The extended version of Mountains was a wicked song with killer horns throughout, I suggested that Prince should ask the fans to vote for a "greatest" CD so that "we" could get the best he has to offer on a single compilation. The snare the mix is SO LOUD on this version. I know it is a reverb but DAMMMMM   I love the original is one of my top 10 fav Prince songs. I love the added rhythm guitar on that one though. | |

I can imagine it wasn't included on Ultimate because a) the length of the mix, and b) aside from the obligatory 'Kiss', none of the Parade singles have ever featured on any of the previous hits complilations.  | |

Speaking of extended versions, i`m thinking about getting the 12" single of "America" too, but i haven`t heard the 20 minute long extended version, is it any good? | |

It's extremely repetitive. I love it, but a lot of folks tend to things it's a tad too long. | |

It's just like the album version except after it continues on, pretty much on the same groove for the entire duration of the track. | |
