Madhouse Girl = Venessa Del Rio

I recently brought my Madhouse CD's into work the other day and had them lying on my desk the other day in full display.

I have 8, 16, and then two versions of 24 that I put together myself. On the inside of the 1-800-NEWFUNK album there is a picture of what the Madhouse 24 album cover was supposed to look like so I made a good scan of it and printed it out for my covers to go with the two 24 configurations. Nice gloss like the other two. I was very proud to have finally acuired these albums and have been listening to them quite often since. I really dig the artwork and really love a lot of the songs.

Anywho...

I came back from lunch the other day to find 5 or 6 guys in my office holding the Madhouse albums talking about the girl.

They say that the girl in the all the pictures is (or was) a famous porn queen named Venessa Del Rio.

I've only seen a porn flick once when i was about 12, so I'm not the expert here in this area. Not that it matters to the music, but I found this info quite amusing.

So that's my topic starter.

Is the Madhouse girl the famous porn star Vanessa Del Rio?

I honestly don't know what Vanessa looks like so maybe someone could shed some light on this. I'm at work right now and really shouldn't search for any Vanessa Del Rio sites so if anyone is at home and could varify that would be cool.

If not, I love these Madhouse CD's some clarification on what happened with the 24 albums would be great to know.

Woman lives in Santa Monica n altho her name escapes me right now, she did an interview with Uptown a coupla years ago bout the covers n such.

It's Maneca Lightner allright - I knew that without even having to go to my Madhouse liner notes...how loony is that? The information and trivia that stays in your mind over the years, it's a mystery to me.

Wasn't there a Madhouse calendar that was sent as a promo at some point?

Can anyone verify if there a resemblence?

I don't know what Vanessa Del Rio looks like.

I did a search on Maneca Lightner and found the uptown excerpt.

I'm convinced it's not Del Rio but these other fools are not.

Yes, there was a Madhouse calender sent out as a promo. If U look in the background of Fresh Prince's "Parents just don't understand" video, U can see it in a couple of shots, very clear 2.
