Here's an oddity


I was just watching an old interview of Paul Anka on Howard Stern In Demand and they were chatting about how Paul knew Elvis Presley towards the end and how sad a case he was.

Paul said he couldnt handle the success and he couldnt deal with the aging. He tried to talk with him and make him realize it didnt matter, he was Elvis!
Then out of nowhere he says:

"like Prince. The guy found himself. Finally someone sat him down and said 'you're Prince!' and now he's back right into it."

I never would expect Paul Anka to offer up Prince as an example for anything, much less an example of super sucess that almost engulfed him.

Interesting to be compared to Elvis' level of fame though!

Sorry, but who is Paul Anka? Heard his name before, but don't know who he is .

From Anka to Jay-Z, they're all giving Prince his due.

It's so random. But few living artists run the spectrum like that, such that they're known and respected across the musical spectrum.

I'm always interested in any news on Prince,but who's Paul Anka?
