I dunno what the gun mike was all about but I always thought it was cool. I mean if you look at a mic on a stand in the holder thingy it kinda resembles a gun so I always figured Prince musta noticed that at some point and thought it would be cool to whirl it around like a gun. Like maybe that's his weapon of choice... ahh who knows, for some reason I think Prince has shot a few guns in his day and ain't totally opposed to em. "not a fan" yeah...ok | |

The Gun mic was a play on the idea of 'words as weapons', and also tied in
with the 'Gangster Glam' vibe that he going on at the time. It was also a natural progression from his usual mic setup, as the way his mic seperated from the stand was quite 'gun-like' anyway. | |
