Sorry but, Raspberry Beret, Purple Rain, and Let's Go Crazy 20+ years down the line all pretty much sound the same regardless of what band he's using. What I mean is, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman gave a lot more to Prince's creative output to what they're given credit for. It was Prince's golden time. Ok, I'm gonna knock you if you feel that way. But, I disagree for a lot of reasons that I don't feel like getting into for the 99,999th time on this site. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With all due respect to The Revolution, I don't think they have the stamina to tour with Prince anymore. No, Prince can't move like he used to, but he's still quite verile! [Edited 8/30/06 16:13pm]

i certainly agree from the influence of Wendy and lisa point of view and hey from the nostalgia angle to see fink, Z and Brown Mark would be great lets also have the expanded version from Parade. Yes it would be a good idea to have maybe a one off concert but not necessarily a tour as the quality couldnt be guaranteed.
I definately never enjoyed anything the NPG did anywhere near as much which I know many on here did. I stil would love to get hold of a dvd of the Parade tour one day!

I get the impression Prince is quite a stubborn character and he refuses anyone to influence him. Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman influenced him entirely throughout the 'Revolution' period.

I loved the Revolution and all it's previous incarnations. Andre, Dez, BrownMark, Lisa and Wendy. It would be fantastic to see them altogether one last time. But I doubt if it happens. Too many egos! I doubt if Prince would consent to such a tour. It would be like going "backwards" for him. Besides, Prince doesn't like to share the spotlight with anyone. Remember this is the same guy who recorded an ensemble album of sorts with the Revolution that he later scrapped. He released various songs from the defunct project on other albums like Sign O' Times. But that's about it. Too bad too. The best music Prince made was with the Revolution. They inspired him in ways, no other collaborators have been able to do...
