So was D&P DVD released on the 21/22 August or is it scheduled now to come out the 25 September???

Following on from that will WB now release the far superior 3 Chains of Gold DVD and if so will they please inlcude the 'lost' 15mins of video footage excluded from the video. Please!

i bought my copy of diamonds and pearls at walmart for $9.82 last friday night, that was august 18th.
i was surprised when i saw a few copies out that early. stopping after work to check on the new cd.

I just left Best Buy and Tower records and they did not have the dvd or the cd. I was freakin pissed.

I just bought th D&P dvd from Barnes and Noble

and I really hope they put out the 3 Chains of Gold on dvd!!!!

Just scoured the streets of Birmingham, England for D&P DVD but no luck.

Not sure it's been released in the UK.

3 Chains of Gold, however, is different - I would dearly love it to have full versions of My Name is Prince, Sexy MF and Blue Light amongst others. But...I suppose Sexy MF etc will be edited in any case.

The first night was called "Act One", and basically featured the majority of the 3 Chains O' Gold presentation, but edited quite differently (the second night was called "The Ryde Dyvine", and featured "live" performances).

When 3 Chains O' Gold was released on home video, many fans were shocked to see several videos chopped down from their initial configurations. Word was that "The Continental" was edited due to Carmen not allowing her portion to be shown, but that didn't explain the other, rather odd edits that were made.

I've heard conflicting reports over the years that the version that was shown in the old NPG store featured the complete videos.

Thanks a lot, that´s interesting. I remember hearing about the "Ryde Dyvine" Special at the time, but I´ve never seen it.
Btw., I would LOVE to see a DVD-release for "The Beautiful Experience". That was a great special.

They do already 'own' copies of the edited videos for My Name is Prince and Sexy MF.

Most likely if they do need permission, Prince would refuse to release the whole 3 Chains DVD as it contains much swearing.

Which is a shame.
