Calling all Prince historians!

When Wendy & Lisa backed Prince at the BRITS, how long had it been since they'd played with him (not counting the Tavis Smiley appearance)?

And what about Sheila E.? When was the last time she'd played as part of Prince's band?

Sheila E. Has been playing with Prince off and on the past few years. As far as W&L I'm not sure?

What was her last appearance with Prince before the BRITS? And what was her last appearance as part of his band (as opposed to just a guest spot)?

I thought I had heard that the last time Prince and W&L played together before the BRITS was around the Lovesexy period.

Sheila E as a bandmate was probably around the end of the Lovesexy era in 89. I might be wrong but that's what I think may be true.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Aside from Sheila E. guestshots with The Revolution, had Wendy, Lisa and Sheila ever backed Prince together before?

...Oh!: and who else was backing him that night (besides Tamar and the Twins)? Have any of these people played with him before?

Burning a copy of the show for a friend's birthday and wanted to put together some notes.

Before the Brits, the last public performance for Prince, Wendy and Lisa was Japan 86. I think it was 9th Sept, but I'd have to check.

As for Sheila, she's been around all the while.

Did you get the new release of Purple Rain on DVD? Because in the extras, where they interview Wendy & Lisa, they are anything but mega bitches. They are really cool and add alot of great comments and praise for Prince.

I think Sheila's appearance prior to the Brits was at the MSG Musicology show (which I attended!) She also was at the Musicology opener in LA but that was earlier.

They came across very down to earth. ...I loved Lisa's sense of humor, and I thought Wendy was very insightful.
