Let's Go Crazy on Ultimate CD

Man this version ROCKS!

Ofcourse its the version they used in the movie plus a little more, but the only time I've heard it is when I'm watching Purple Rain.

I think he should play this version again. Especially where the band kind of pause and he starts banging on the piano. I think it sounds better than the Go Go Go! version he plays now.

Kinda cool to hear it on my mp3.

i've been digging on this version since i bought the 12" single waaaay back in the day and lost my mind the first time i put the needle to the vinyl. i was 13 then, and i had no idea there was any such thing as "extended versions". i thought what was on the album was all they recorded, and nothing else existed. wotta mindblower for a kid just getting into music...not to mention it's so much fun.

I could imagine, cuz it blew my mind now! Played this version several times today alone.

You know, I never bought 12" back in the day, I always just bought the record. Who would a thought these would be priceless gems today, especially rare ones like Mountains 12".

That's exactly what it does. It took me back to that Purple Rain First Avenue Club excitement in the atmosphere feeling.

Do artists do extended versions anymore? Or do they just release a sampled remix with rapping on it or a techno mix?
