Anybody see The Artist Formerly Known As Prince celebrate his 1st birthday at the Glam Slam Club on June 7th,1994? I thought the way this particular live version of "Acknowledge Me" kicked some serious boootay!!! My goodness the way he reinvented the song in this live environment is much better than the studio version. The beginning had that George Clinton/Pfunk early 80's vibe.

Hey how about what he said during the intro of the song..."I GOT SOME FUNK THAT'LL KILL YA'". Also he delivered a mind-blowing, virtuostic guitar solo on "Shhh". He was surely in the zone and on the one that night. Hey, I remember Mayte spray painting the number "1 on his shirt

He also kicked booty the next night opening up the set with a tribute to Santana... putting in some terrific guitar work.

Whoops! Thought I had this show but don't. Hint, hint.
