I disagree, ABC. What better of a format for Prince inspired artists to receive feedback on their music? Their own forums will not get the articulated responses that the ORG would allow them to receive, let alone the amount of responses. These artists are unsigned, independent, underground artists. Without a place like the ORG to help these purple people, they are left in the world with all of the rest of the mainstream crap that is out there, and they are overlooked because people (in the general masses) have thier brains rinsed in the sink every day by media nazi's who want people to believe something is cool.

At least these guys aren't asking the question:

"Who do I need to blow around here to get my demo heard?"

Ciao,
Suzie

Thank you so very much, Suzie. Man, I didn't know that you felt that passionate about all of the artists on here. I knew that you were cool with it, but this deserves a big hug . You have always had my back, and I appreciate that, Suzie. BTW, I don't think Lewis knew that you played bass 'til recently, and now he is gonna love ya even more!!

Anyhow, my goal is not to jump down peoples throat with my music. I just love to share my work with people and hear how people like it, or if they don't, what they think could be different to appeal to more people. I am happy no matter what kind of music I am laying down on tracks, because without music, I would die...it is my way to show how I feel and an outlet for my emotions. Every song is like a new life, and I am just put there to bring it forth. And no, ABC, I don't think I post too much to tell people about my music. Sometimes, if I have a song that I really like, I will post a thread showing people about it. But that is like, at the most, once or twice a month. Most of my other posts are about music, Prince, love, unity, world issues, politics, or other issues. 99 percent of my posts are from work, because I have no PC at home. So, obviously, the ORG and it's people are very important to me, and having friends and fam on here is important to me, or I wouldn't even be on here every day that I can. Prince and George Clinton (and all the other P-Funkers) are my musical mentors. When I post and hang out in here, it is my way of being "fams" with them, especially Prince, since this is a site dedicated to him and the music.

So, all this being said, thank you all for your continuing love and support, and thank you Suzie for saying something that has been on my mind for awhile.

Peace,
JD

Hey Dj Emale, how or where can I tune in to New Power Radio? It seems as if your playlist are always jammin! Is there an actual station, or show segment, or it's internet based only?

Take it for what it's worth...as Monica said - don't take it personal...since my initial post I've had over 1,000,000 hits on my website www.divinitysse.com each month...& C.J. didn't even print my web address. Don't hate, just appreciate. These people are happy to dog you to "praise Prince," but you have to consider the intelligence level. Be glad your site is exposed to many.

As a friend of a couple of org artists, I am a little disturbed that the great talents of the org are not being recognized, and not being heard. A lot of you bashed The Cloud 9 Mission for sending you updates about his music, and criticized him when he made an honest mistake and sent multiple e-mails telling about his club. Then, he posts great download links and asks you all for your opinion and support, and you ignore him. It's not like he asks you for money. Then, there is Jason Dodson. I grew up with him and played bass in his Prince inspired band, "Jimmy Nothing", for quite some time. He is a very positive cat with a sexy vibe, and he also offers you free music and asks for your love and support, and he gets no appreciation.

GIVE UP SOME LOVE, Y'ALL, LISTEN AND APPRECIATE YOUR HOME GROWN TALENT. IT IS RARE.

If you ask me (and you really should, you know), I think that the Org's Prince inspired artists appreciate themselves more than enough to make up for the lackluster response they illicit from the rest of us rolleyes

No problem, Cary. I really dig your song "A is for Allison". The org should give you a listen also.

there are cool artists frequenting this site. i like going to websites and checking out other people's mp3 files lewis' stuff is good; emailed downloads from relative strangers aren't my faves.

i wonder if prince attracts creative people because we all have in common that we're drawn to the sexy weirdo cool that's characteristic of his style?
