I'm planning on going out in the next hour or so to buy Ultimate Prince and probably also the Diamonds And Pearls DVD, although I have to admit I'm a little hesitant about both of them, since I have the actual songs from Ultimate Prince, and could easily just create a playlist on my iPod to resemble it. Diamonds And Pearls I've never seen (other than clips here and there at the NPG Store in London, and the Live 4 Love live video which also ended up on NPGMC) - but something tells me it's not going to change my life. I'll probably watch it once and never again.

So who else is getting them? Show of hands, please!

i'm still deciding on whether or not i should get the d & p dvd. i won't be able to buy it today...

I will get the D&P dvd this weekend, but I won't buy the Ultimate cd until I see it used. I have a great used cd store in my area and I'm sure I will see it there within a month.

i've had ultimate for a while now, and i preordered D&P from amazon with another goodie i wanted. hopefully it'll be waiting for me when i get home.

I usually buy all of Prince's releases on the day of their release. However, since these two aren't new material, I'll get them later because I'm broke as hell right now. I'm gonna have to find me a street corner and turn a few tricks to raise the money.

I saw the DVD in Wal-Mart yesterday and passed it on by. Might get it today.

The Ultimate CDs I might get, a few months from now. I have it all already, so sound quality isn't so big a deal. And, I'm not exactly a collector in need of completing my holdings.

I've had Ultimate since the previous (non)-release, but I'll pick up D&P if I see it cheapo, not a priority purchase, but I'll get it sooner or later.... It's only gonna collect dust like the VHS copies.

to the people who bought the ultimate set BEFORE it got pulled.(meaning the scant copies that were out prior)

I just left Tower records and Best Buy and they didn't have the Ultimate CD or the D&P dvd. Whats up with that?

The Ultimate cd is listed in the current Best Buy's sales paper . Perhaps they sold out.

I went to Best Buy and went on a spending spree today...
I bought "Ultimate", "D&P", "Idlewild", and Rick James' "Anthology" (hangin' out at the Non-Prince forum, talkin' about F&D- all my stuff was on vinyl!).
Plus, I picked up the "New Power Generation" Maxi-single for a friend who didn't have it. I hadn't seen it in years! They had one copy!

I get really cheap when it comes to music. My birthday is Thursday, so I said, "What the hell?"
