i think fans should be able to say what they like about Prince, and his music.

but to beat people up on a personal level for their opinions is the real mean-spiritedness on this website

is it mean-spirited to do it to Prince? to have an opinion on either his music or him personally that isnt exactly kind?

depends on intention. plus - as consumers, fans have a right to say what they think about the product they have purchased with their money.

as for P's personal life, he's a celebrity. and has allowed people to believe he is some kind of God. he's made money off that. he makes his personal life public every day, thru his actions. taking wives to public places etc... the list goes on.

i dont really support the notion that provocative celebrities deserve privacy.

if they want privacy, dont b famous. 2 + 2 = 4.

its kinda simple.


if i said Prince has technically worshipped Satan his whole life, and covered it it up even to himself, with a thin veil of supposed Religion and Spirituality, making money out of all of it, which would technically make him anti-christic, i'd get bashed senseless for it. cuz folks dont know how to differentiate between The Idea expressed, and the personal level to which they take it.

my guess is, fans are far more presumptuous about each other, than they are about Prince.
