Me too. Since the deluxey spiffed-up bootleggage version popped up a few years ago, I have it filed in with my WB-released Prince albums and I treat it like an "official" release, kinda like I did with the Black Album back in the day. Nowadays, I listen to DF more than i listen to SOTT.

This is tough because essentially they are all the same album that just kept evolving. I guess I would definetly say Camille and a tie between CB and DF. However, no matter what you pick, you still have one of the greatest Prince albums ever. __________________________________________________

I think the second configuration of the Dream Factory was better than the final one.

Plus I would also add that there was no "final" version of Dream Factory, there is just the 'last' version made before it was shelved (which is not quite the same thing, as Dream Factory was never finished) The 2nd configuration is actually truer to what the Dream Factory album was supposed to be (a 'Revolution' record). The 3rd configuration was made when Prince already knew the Revolution wasn't going to last, and started replacing a lot of the 'band' orientated material with more 'solo' tracks. Dream Factory was shelved within a few weeks of the 3rd configuration being compiled to tape. [Edited 8/20/06 14:43pm]
