After years of legal wrangling, iconic pop star Prince and his former record label, Warner Brothers, have jointly released a highly provocative version of his 1989 hit song "Batdance". Although this video was rumored to exist for many years, very few people in Prince's camp or from Warners would acknowledge its existence. in my 8th grade media class, we wrote, directed and acted in a film of our own, and we used Batdance for the closing credits music.

I love the variety of angles that they used. Some great editing and it was nice to see all the celebrities in it.

When I was growing up, my best friend's older brother was a Prince FANATIC. He was the first person who alerted me to the existence of boots. When we were in junior high, he and his wife (he was much older than us) made one of these cheesy-ass videos, to "When Doves Cry" I think. I remember thinking he was the coolest dude on the planet.
