This track, released on Sheena Easton's "The Lover in Me" album, is absolutely incredbile. It's one of those hidden Prince gems, tucked away and either underappreciated or unknown. This is one of those real gems that Prince used to write seemingly at will. I've always loved this song, and the way that Easton delivers vocally is so sublime.

I remember wating up to see this video and hear the song for the first time back in 1988 or '89, and it was worth it! Such a good song, and the instrumental version is very cool too on the b-side of the cassingle.

I love it. It's histrionic; completely demented and thus as camp as Christmas. The David Morales mix throbs along excellently.

Screw the cassingle!! "101"was all ABOUT the 12" Prince extended mix! That opening guitar riff that sounded like the begining of the "sign o teh Times" movie..absolutely awesome. I remember even hearinmg it played on the radio in NYC in a cab..summer of '89. Good summer with that and Batman and they even played Elisa Fiorillo with "On the Way Up", Martika in '90..."Love Thy Will BDOne"...good times.

damn, that's a good song. Prince should have put it out himself with slightly changed lyrics.

i dont really like it. it's kinda unstructured. it sounds like he had a cool idea but not enough to make it the basis of a whole song. i thought 'cool love' was more pleasing to the ear.

Its ok, but the la reid and babyface tracks kick that song to the curb.
