PRINCE LIVE DVD'S!! [b]Hello, I'm new around here, go gentle on a sister!!
Anywho I wanted to ask if theres any availble live DVD's (or even VHS) of Prince live before 1990...like during his parade tour, purple rain, even dirty minds, etc...I went to amazon.com, and I didnt find too much of anything... If anybody can help me out that would be great! Thanks, Prella! | |

Your best bet is eBay, and getting a hold of the Lovesexy Dortmund DVD - it hasn't been officially released on DVD, but it was released on VHS and there are some fan made conversions around. There's also a VHS release called "Prince & The Revolution - Live!" as I seem to remember - which I think was from the Purple Rain tour. Edit, yep this one:  [Edited 8/11/06 3:31am] |

The ones I know of are the Purple Rain Live in Syracuse which was originally released as a double VHS in 1985 and reissued as a single VHS tape in 1987, it hasn't been issued on dvd.A Parade show live in Detroit from 7 June 1986 was shown on UK tv but wasn't issued even on VHS. Sign 'O The times concert movie was issued in 1988 on VHS and is now on 2 different releases on dvd, one them looks like it has been recorded straight off the VHS!! Lovesexy Live '88 (2 tapes) was issued on VHS in 1988 and hasn't yet been issued on dvd. I think that's it!! | |

Yeah all those above a official release Purple rain in Syracuse /Sign of the times/ Everything else is basically under the table gotta know somebody and then the quality may be like crap "tonight ur a Star and I'm the Big dipper" | |

If you get the Sign 'o' the Times DVD, make sure you order it through Canadian Amazon. It is an official release from Alliance...and the quality is very good. That's where I ordered mine.
