Beginning of 'One of us' Can anyone tell me what Prince is saying in the intro to 'One Of Us'? I can hear the word 'song' but I can't make out the rest. (Little Richard enters the stage)

sounds like "can we play this song" or "when we play this song", "and we play.."

It's very hard to pick out but he's saying:
"Can we play this song? It's the song of satan, and we shall bathe in your warm blood and drink dihydrogenated monoxide before boiling our souls in hell"..." You have to listen to it real loud, but the words are there.  | |

I thought he said something like: "We didn't write this song. We just play it."

The beginning bass to One of Us is almost identical to "Love thy WIll be Done" by NPG. Listen very closely and you will hear the resemblance. "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish." | |

I don't hear any words like those described until the first verse starts. Explain please... It's not really a spoken intro or anything. I think it is just before the guitar comes in, you can hear Prince saying something. It's very unclear and easy to miss if you're not listening closely. I first heard it when I played the song with my headphones on. (Little Richard enters the stage)
