Somewhat??? Dude I like Prince as much as the next fan but somewhat is bit of an understatement

I hate 2 say this...but if Spike Lee were 2 direct this, it would have a short life span. He is box office poison. He may b one of the most talented brothers directing, but his rep is not good...and his movies don't sell tickets.

I say get someone who can actually get the movie on the screen with a good track record.

John Singleton anybody?

The Hughes Brothers?

Francis Ford Coppola?

(it could happen!)

Maybe not Francis Ford Coppola but either of his kids...Sofia Coppola did a great job recreating the 70's vibe with the Virgin Suicides and Roman Coppola did quite well with his 60's inspirded CQ...they're both young enough to relate to the subject matter...

How about the name "Purple Stain" I'm warning you don't try and steal this idea as tempting and genius as it may be. Snyway I think this is a good idea. i loved getting the look into Prince's life via Purple Rain. I am even more interested in the Dirtymind and Controversy stages though.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.
