Are there songs that you appreciate more than you actually like? For example, I don't care for the song Cinnimon Girl but I really respect the message. Anna Stesia tells a powerful story and was the centerpiece of the amazing Lovesexy tour but the song itself isn't all that pleasing to my ears. If you know what I mean,please share some choices of your own. | |

Very good thread. Poses an interesting question. With that said I would also have to say Anna Stesia. Oh and If I Was Your Girlfriend. It was very slick and thought provoking but never one of my favorites. [Edited 9/12/06 10:13am] | |

then again this thread says "songs you appreciate more than you actually like" so while one might agree that a song in question is masterful and brilliant they don't have to like it. So if IIWYG is listed on this thread it is appreciated and the person who posts it thinks it musically valuable they just don't like it as much as they esteem it. I just had to post this because this is a brilliant thread and a breath of fresh air to this forum and I don't want it to get jacked by confusion.  to Sitruk | |

Quite an interesting topic. I appreciate the organic sound of TRC, and the inspiration behind it, but good fuck do I hate listening to it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Some of his early nineties hits. I recognize that songs like Cream, Diamonds And Pearls, 7, TMBGITW, etc. are extremely well constructed pieces of pop, surely superior to whatever they were sharing chart space with at the time, but I don't feel the urge to listed to them very often.
