I just watched Purple Rain with the commentary through the whole movie and its great. I thought it would be a nuisance but it gave a great deal of insightful info on the movie that I knew about but I didn't. Give it a watch and I'm sure you'll love it.

It is interesting to watch with the commentary. I liked the story the one dude told about him putting Prince's lace glove on. And later he took his hand out of his pocket and Prince saw this big burly man with his lace glove on he fell over laughing.
that was as cool behind the scenes story.

How about after the Darling Nikki scene? I had nooo idea that Morris was supposed to be in the doorway with Jerome. Where the hell was Morris? cocaine-ing it?

to me the most interesting part was about how they lost the some of the negatives (during one of the bedroom scenes) and had to use a work print (which is why is it noticeably darker).

I thought it was pretty cool how during the “Lake Minnetonka” scene, they described how Prince was in Minneapolis and Apollonia was in LA. Pretty seamless.

i've listened to it with the commentary on...it's pretty sweet.
