That was the request for the Sign O The Times tour.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see that tour pout so I have no idea whether folks complied.

I had the same problem but is was a different concert in LA. He was performing with Chaka Kahn and Sly drove 2 hours to get to this concert to be told as we were pulling into the parking lot that the concert was cancelled. While listening to the radio after leaving the venue pissed as hell (those were the best tickets I ever had for one of his concerts) to find out that during rehersal apparently Chaka had stepped on P's foot and caused him to hurt is knee. That concert never did get rescheduled. mad

HUH?? Are you talking about the concert at the Forum that was cancelled because he twisted his ankle two nights prior in NorCal?? Chaka and Sly?? When was this supposed to have been. When was Sly in good enough condition to share the stage with P? He was barely existant when he did "Crazay" w/ Jesse. What year are u talking about?

You mean... this one:

Well, many people wore something Prince-ly. Many of them had some Purple Rain like blouses. The majority of Prince-like dressed people though prefered the Parade look. Trousers, tight fit tops, hats etc.

Since - at least with Europe - the Eighties had many young people wearing black (Goth and Punk took way into more popular music), the crowd included many black-clothed people. Which included myself. Peach was no colour to be seen that much.

Eventually, you'd have about one third of the audience wearing something mostly black. Then you would see several hundred featuring a Prince look (in some way). Rest of the audience had mixed colours in their clothing, though quite dark - if I remember it right.

Btw, this was my first Prince live experience - and since I just discovered Prince (and SOTT), I wasn't sure about going. I did. And it blew me right away... it got me into hardcore collecting.

P.S.: ... and yes, I witnessed Madhouse live. woot!

Yes I'm here! I know that it wasn't the Forum. I want to say that it was at the Sport's Arena! It was the concert before The Jam of The Year Tour.

You mean the one where we had to queue in the rain (with our Wembley tickets) at Hammersmith, to be told that the concerts were being re-arranged for Earls Court!?!?!?

Sign "o" the times, Paris, le ZĂ©nith. I think it was in 1989. I was 15. My brother bought the tickets but he told me it would be silly to wear peach or black, I wore a white Prince T-shirt (portrait) and I was in the second or third raw with all my brother's friend. Prince, very clever guy, gave tamborines and sent me a beautiful rose and kiss while dancing. heart

One of the best days of my life.

I also had a ticket for that show.
One of the bands due to play at Blenheim was C&C Music Factory, who'd had a big hit in the UK with "Things That Make You Go Hmmm".
