EMPTY ROOM 84,95, Or 2002 Version?

84 Version is melodic, and just more of a short-ballad than the others. Not really established, just 'experimental'.

Of all the versions i liked the 95' version and so did most of the fans. Played on 'The Gold Experience tour, this is Prince at his most rocky & grudge like, with screamin guitars and bassey drums. Sounds Prince at his most alternate. But is easily the best version.

This is where most fans had listened 2 it for the first time, in the 'one night alone' tour(s). Its remastered but sounds more like the 84 version, but remastered.

If u wann my advise u just got 2 listen 2 Prince Empty Room version 95. Its easily the best version and is u like Prince u heard.

2002 version. I never heard the 84 one, and the 95 version I have is a horrible sound quality. 2002 version is cool as all hell imo.

i like the 95 version a lot.

there was a version on the "i'll do anything" soundtrack too, wasn't there?
wasn't that the original 86 version of something? or is the 95 version just
the original?

the information on that always confuses me.

anyway, i totally love the screaming guitar in the "1995" version headbang guitar

There´s the old, original version from the 80´s ( 1984?85?) and then there´s the version from I´ll Do Anything ( 1992? 94 ? ) and then there´s the version that was shown with a videoclip during the Gold Experience / Ultimate Live Experience tour in 1995, and then there´s the 2002 C-Note live version from the ONA tour BUT if I recall correctly Michael Bland said in one of those threads where he answered questions that they did not re-record Empty Room but shot the video using the original version, which would mean that the socalled 1995 version is really just the original version from the 80´s , probably reworked a little bit. Take this statement from me with a grain of salt, I´m just paraphrasing what I read. There were people on this board who claimed otherwise, i.e. they knew the original version and said the 95 version was different... Langebleu, Neversin and Boris might know much more about this.
