Okay kitties...Prince has had a couple days to recouperate after his Emmy after parties (like he needs to rest lol) so what are the chances he'll grace the Big Apple with his presence for MTV's Video Music Awards on Thursday?

Black Sweat is nominated for Best Cinematography. The other nominees are:
AFI--Miss Murder
James Blunt--You're Beautiful
RedHotChiliPeppers--Dani California
Ashlee Simpson--Invisible

Now obviously Prince isn't the cinematographer (that's Checco Varese) so even if Black Sweat wins, it's not like Prince will accept the award. (I think it will go to RHCP, but as long as Ashlee Simpson doesn't win, it's cool. )

What do you think? Will he attend the VMAs? Any chance of a surprise Prince performance/aftershow (not at the VMAs) in New York? Will Black Sweat win the VMA?

Lawd, don't go starting nothing, getting hopes up! but it's all good. I don't think he'll show up for the VMAs, but maybe he'll go to NYC and do another afterparty or attend one of them. I heard Beyonce is giving one. Quite a few will be going on.

I don't think he'll go. Like you said HE isn't actually nominated for an award. I don't think he'd go and sit through an awards show like the VMAs just for fun. But hey, if he shows up as a surprise performer now that would be cool. If he did then I could definitely see an aftershow performance happening. Wait, what am I talking about....I NEVER thought he'd go on American Idol, so I guess anything is possible! I think AI was all about promoting 3121 and now that that era is kind of on its way out I don't see him showing IMHO.
