Where is it? How many ppl are competing? Any Quals 2 get in? etc...

Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung so ARE real martial artists. I really can not believe U made that comment. They both had extremely good masters, they both trained 4 many many years, and are both very very good martial artists/fighters.

I do agree however, that Bruce Lee is far more of an innovating specialist when it comes 2 maximising yourself in combat. Jackie Chan would have never beaten Bruce in a fight, I think.

But when it comes 2 choreagraphing fights in movies and creating stunts during big fight scenes nobody touches Jackie Chan. Bruce could never do a Jackie Chan stunt. So lets leave it at that. wink

Oh let's not leave it at that!
Jackie Chan was given to a chinese theater group home when he was a child by his parents.
He was basically tortured into learning acrobatic moves like hand stands on one hand for hours at a time or until he passed out. He met Sammo Hung at the same orphanage.
While there were martial arts moves incorperated into the training, he is NOT A REAL MARTIAL ARTIST.
He is a martial artist the way that Jean Cleaud Van Dam is a martial artist.
Chan may have some very well choreographed action scenes but thats what they are, nothing more. I can hardly call a man running for his life through every scene a fight.
And the no holds barred tournament I'm training for is in St. Louis. I'm also going to try for the Hook n Shoot, and in a year the U.F.C.
I detected a bit of sarcasm when you questioned me about the tournament, but if you really want to know about requirements I'll tell u. I'm sure they all do H.I.V. tests,
and that's pretty much it.
I'm really not trying to be a smart ass, but if you are interested in joining one, I suggest you take something else than the Karate style that you take now.

I do honestly respect what your saying 2 me Daywalker as U probably no more than me. But ok Bruce Lee is a masters master of everything he did and taught but dont U think Ur being a bit hard on Jackie? Dont U appreciate anything hes done?

Plus U obviously no quite a bit about Bruce, did he get mixed up with the triads of Hong Kong? Could U give me a little story bout that?

No sarcasm at all my fist clenched friend. I no that even in a No-Holds-Barred competition not just any person can enter, so I just wondered how 1 qualifies, not that Im ever going 2 try myself...fucking suicide.

So, U truly believe Ur powerful enough 2 take on the likes of Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock huh?? Well goodluck 2 ya pal, Ur fucking mental!!

Make sure that U keep us imformed of how everything goes well after this thread has been and died wont cha? wink

No I'm not mental, or as angry as you make me out to be.
I thought you were being sarcastic, I was wrong and I apologise.
As to your question of if I think I can hang with Royce and Shamrock? Yes I do. 1st I think the world of Ken Shamrock, I spent 1,000 to go out to cali and train with him for a weekend and I both enjoyed it and was dissapointed by it.
Shamrock is very old now and isnt the fighter he used to be.
He had a heart attack in the ring at Pride for god sakes!
Royce Gracie is another story. I know this jackass personally, and watching him fight now is like visiting a museum of ancient techniques.
He has lost his last 4 or 5 matches, the last to a Japanese pro wrestler.
I have to be confident to even step into the cage, don't take my attitude as cockiness.
Now, onto Jackie. I just get a little pissed that people over look Bruce and call Jackie Chan and Jett Lee gods of martial arts. Jackie is good for what he is, but the truth is, he isnt a martial artist in its true sense. Don't take my word for it, Go and get his biography.
Now I hope you look at this diologue,(i hope I spelled that right), between us as what it is, a healthy debate amongst friends.
Peace and B Wild my friend

So with a name like Daywalker U like Wesley SNipes then?? How does he compare with the other Martial Arts Movie "posers" like Jeanne Claud Van Twat??

How much do U know about Jet Li then? Is he the next big thing or is it all hype? Cuz I no nothing about him.

Cool, training with "The Most Dangerous Man in the World" (rolleyes) musta bin fun!! Did U learn much? How was it dissapointing??
I once trained with Bill "superfoot" Wallace when I did a breif spell of Ju Jitsu, that was fun and I did my first Proper splits that day, fuck ouch!!

I dont think Ur cocky at all, I think Ur very brave. And when I say that Ur mental and stuff, thats me just playing. wink

I only meant that I think Jackie as a God in a sense of him being a stunt/fight choreographer, not as in a master of combat like Bruce.

How do U think U would have stood up 2 The Dragon himself in a fight if U were around in his day?? wink

I would have gotten my ass handed to me if I had fought Bruce. A guy that weighs 135 lbs should not be benching 500 lbs, that's just not right.
I'm not really a huge Wesley Snipes fan, I just like the character Blade. Black superheroes are always either big jokes or jive talkin pimp wannabes. I thought it was cool that Wesley portrayed a very cool character of color.
Plus the Blade movies just plain kicked ass!
Wesley is a martial artist, but he's not a combat ready fighter or anything. He's just a very good actor.
It was very cool training with Ken, but I never actually rolled with him, it was a seminar so his time was divided between about 600 people. One day I will pay the money to have a one on one with him.
If you ever decide to train in some kind of grappling art, DO NOT TRAIN WITH ROYCE GRACIE OR ANYONE ASSOSIATED WITH HIM! His cousins on the other hand are very respectable people, and so is his brother Rickson.
If you are really interested send me an org note, I'll give you my e mail address and we can talk.

AND u still have nothing 2 add to this topic?

On the subject of martial arts, I want all of you to know I know karate. True, I got kicked out of the local dojo for breaking my master's nose instead of the brick he was holding, but shit happens, ya know?

On the subject of marital arts, I've never been married nor do I intend to ever tie the knot of something other than a tie. From what I understand, most of the "art" required for marriage happens outside of the bedroom.

For SexyLovely:Yeah i dig what you're saying about Chan, but in terms of MA choreography for film ,it's totally diffrent than what Bruce was doing.Like I said Bruce wanted his movie fights to look real.Sure,he would ham things up a little by using high kicks(which he would never have done in a real fight)but he had a thorough understanding of what would look good on screen, but he BASED it all on realism. The fight with Chuck Norris in the finale of THE WAY OF THE DRAGON is a prime example of that.I defy anyone, then or today, to choreograph a fight like that. All the jet li's and jackie chan's could never do something like that.To give you an idea of how a real bRuce Lee fight would have gone down, look at the fight with Bob wall in THE WAY OF THE DRAGON.That's pretty much what it would have looked like. Not only was his power like no one's business(the man could do push ups on his thumbs),but he was the fastest man alive.Ask anybody who knew him,his speed was unparalleled.justto give you an idea:he would periodically play a game with people where he would snatch a quarter out of there hand and replace it with a penny without them thinking he had done anything.

Yeah, I guess I agree with all of that. Such a shame Bruce died so young.

I remember seeing Jeanne Cluade Van Twat doing that penny trick in BloodSport, i just thought "Wow, he can do that"??? ALl the time thinking he invented that trick. But I ccould never do it myself.

Have U won any competitions then? Much prize money involved? biggrin
If U could fight any1 in the world who would it be? And who are they? Cuz its more than likely Ive never heard of them.

So anyway great talking 2 U and all. But did U have any recommendations of movies that I should see??

Always been a Bruce lee and Kung Fu fan, got some private Karate training ours and somes at a scool.

I've been called Shen Shu queen from one of the masters of this art.

Ah and there's a ciberstory where I've been nominated as a choicen one lol to be knightet and defend Sir Lenny's kingdom Euleuthera. smile

I'm there not because of Sir Lenny... I'm there because of the JADE TRIANGLE, he surpriced me telling this to the other choicen ones.
And I got it! Not before Sir Lenny and me had a little fight: FullContact! 1:1

At Euleuthera I got a job! I am there with letloverule and prince 007, we came from TAE KUON DO. My speciality is the art of The Drunken Sailor, and here I got the job, as master, to train the choicen ones. So my role at the front was this. Then I go do a lot of meditation and do training, training, training...

If you want to read the whole Ciberstory pm me.
