"Around The World In A Day"

I like the album and all, but the songs sound really second-rate compared to Purple Rain. Boring lyrics on "America". boring melody on "The Ladder", and the completely flaky "Tambourine" which would have been better as a B-Side track, rather than wasting space on the album for it. It didn't have the ambitious and energetic feel of Purple Rain or any of his prior albums.

Only 3 good songs on THIS album: Le Grind, Cindy C, & When 2 R In Love.

Everything else is a total waste. Maybe this was part of the reason why the album was never release in 1987. Even when I had the free bootleg cassette, I was not happy with THIS album at all!

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

controversy? razz its got some classic and pricless prince moments on it. but i feel it was to manic and he looked like colonel saunders on the cover and in some videos

I think Morris Day & The Time ate lunch at KFC during The Triple Threat Tour.

Controversy was the shit. What are you talkin' bout. I gotta go wit Grafitti Bridge. Eventhough I liked the two lead singles, "Thieves In the Temple," and "The New Power Generation," they are the only songs I like on the album.

Its so sad that everyone wants prince new album to sound the same. His only problem has been the release of the singles. I dont know if it was W.B. back in the day or him but he still continues to pick the wrong songs as a single.
3121 cd is excellent but the order in which the songs were release were messed up.His order was
1. Te Amo Corazon
2. Beautiful, Loved
3. Black Sweat
4. Fury
5. Satisfied
My order
1. Lolita /B side with remixes and longer version
2. Fury / B side with The Word
3. 3121 /B side with Beautiful,Loved
4. The Dance /B side a long verion remixed like in the Scandalous Suite
5. Satisfied /B side Black Sweat
