A drum machine can't play itself, it needs someone to program it and shape its beats. Whether Prince does that himself or gets help from an engineer, ultimately he instructs the engineer what he wants so Prince is the one controlling the sound, unless otherwise credited. Sometimes Prince albums have a credit for 'additional drum programming' I seem to recall. | |
