Mayte did not ruin Prince's career. If anything he prevented hers from ever getting off the ground.

shocked nuts lol

Are you serious? Oh, I am sure her possibilites were infinite. I mean she's doing so much with herself now.

Mayte would have been nothing if Prince didn't bring her to the spotlight

The moment we realised that yep, Prince seriously believed that we'd be happy to receive the could-buy-anywhere One Nite Alone Live rather than the exclusive three remaining CDs that were originally promised by the NPGMC Year 2.

Around The World In A Day may have been a shocking follow up to Purple Rain for many but I happen to believe it was one of the most clever moves P has made. He had to get everyone's attention and pull them away from Purple Rain or he would be boxed in by its success and as a musician he knew he was everchanging and there was still some uncharted territory he wanted to explore. Believe it or not this past year has been the most shocking for me. I never thought I'd hear lyrics like Fury coming from someone who seemed to have matured so much over the years. This album sounds downright petty at times. I became dissolutioned because I knew this was signaling yet another change in his personal life just when you thought he could settle down and enjoy marriage. What would be shocking is if the next album releases don't have lyrics about schooltype crushes and the ever so popular art of seduction topics.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.

ACtually thinking about it, teh most shocking thing for me was his behaviour at the London ONA show I went to...it actually ruined the last bit of the show for me and I never though that would be possible.

Heres the story...again!!!!

I tried to get NPGMC tickets for the show but the website ballsed up and couldnt recognise me as a member until all of the tickets were long gone...so I spent hours on the phone to Ticketmaster but eventually secured myself 2 seats at the London Hammersmith Appollo.

About halfway through the show Prince decided it would be a lovely idea to get all of the NPGMC members down the front to turn around and face us people sat at the back and chant "Join the Club"...because if we 'wanted teh good seats we'd have to (all together now)"Join the Club" all his freinds had and if we cared about him we'd "join the club", after the show he was going on to somewhere quiet to jam with his friends and if we wayed to go we should have "joined teh club".

Needless to say I was a little pissed that, being a member from day 1, I had already missed out on my NPGMC tickets and to be taunted by the very man I had paid good money to see and for him to encourage others to do it too was a real slap in the face.

It seemed liek a real nasty money grabbing and childish streak...even though it was probably meant playfully

Yeah well, now she's tainted with Prince-protege-disease.
Even if she had any potential he murdered it.
Look at Tamar. Doomed.
