i don't know how i overlooked this all these years, but i was listening to my favorite Howard Hewett cd, "Allegiance" and track # 3 of the same name is credited to Prince/Controversy music in the liner notes. The cd itself is great, i think it deals with his breakup with Nia Peeples, but the song doesn't sound like the typical Prince give-away song. Anybody ever heard of this nice mid-tempo r&b cut?
