Question about Laserdiscs Does anyone in the US own any of the Prince laserdiscs that were produced in the UK, China, or Japan?
If so, do these play in US laserdisc players? I really want to get the Livesexy, Undertaker, and Sacrifice of Victor on Laserdisc, but don't want to waste the money if it won't work. Thanks Kelvin **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

That's awesome. I seen a few years back an older electronics store that was still selling their older catalogue of lazer disks. There were a couple of Prince Laserdisks. I never thought about that at the time, but I bet they are very collectable. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I have several of the Japanese LDs (Sacrifice, Undertaker, Gett Off, Sheila E.'s Romance 1600 film) and they play just fine in US players since the US and Japan both use the NTSC standard. You'll probably have issues with European LDs, though, since they are, to the best of my knowledge, in the PAL format and won't play on most US LD players.

NTSC is the Us, Canadia and other standard. It's 29.97 frames per second. PAL is most often thought of as the european standard. It's something like 15 frames per second. If your Pal don't play in your NTSC player, you might look on ebay. I'm sure you could pick one up for next to no money. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
