not so much all I know....more a case of what I can stomach....to me, a lot of his post '96 stuff is severely self-indulgent....to quote Billy in Purple Rain....for a lot of the folks I know...

honestly I like all the years but his strongest were 84-94

my wife prefers Prince now over the young P

I’m 36 and I also have to go with prior. My favorite period is between 80 and 83. At that point he was raw, and there was this real underground/cult feel that surrounded him, his music, and his fans. I remained a huge Prince fan until 94. I gave up on him during the late 90s and early 00s, and have just recently gotten back into him.

perdido	Prior, until album; although i really dig Gold. But I can't with Come, Emancipation, NPS, Rave, Rainbow Children or Musicology. And I rate 3121 closer to Gold, but never close to 80's albums. And I'm 28! [Edited 8/10/06 7:16am]

i reckon he was best up to the Emancipation album. i've LOVED Prince since i was about 12. I'm now 35 & drive my husband & 3 daughters mad playing my cd's. biggrin
