Do you prefer P music prior to 1996 vs 1996-2006? Do you prefer P music prior to 1996? or 1996-2006?? Let me xpln my slf. I'm trying to determine the orgers preferences. The ave age of orgers from last data collection is 30. If not too intimidating, GIVE YOUR AGE. If you contributed to the forum on "the ave age of P fan" don't bother, I'll look it up. For all of you who LOVE ALL OF IT, I'll make a third category. Appropriately titled; luv all of it. Since I'm the oldest orger here, I'll start; The past 10 years are the BEST. this won't bias the totals. This isn't a debate.....just info... [Edited 8/6/06 22:17pm]

Don't have you in the stats "ave age of p fan"?? Can you post it in that forum or say? If not you won't be in the stats other than giving input, which is OK.(unless I made a mistake)

I dig all his years of music! But to me he just gets better as the years past.

Unofficially, you were already in that catagory. Some people here are too predictable. AND that's a good thing.

Can you post your age in "ave age of P fan"? This question has to do with statistics, or post age here.

OK...I'll make a 4th category.... "input of orgers who's age is unknown" (noncommital types, on a web site where no one knows you, anyway, and you can pretty much say anything? but not THAT) No problemo....

I really can't imagine anyone truthfully saying they prefer the 96-06 stuff to the 78-95 stuff. Unless they're just being contrary, which some people tend to do when posed with an either or like this. [Edited 8/7/06 2:50am]

Since Prince and the revolution Tuesday, 26 August 1986 around 21:00 clock with following celebration and a mad discussion with Steven J. Fargnoli. By 7 June 1993 20:00 clock has Prince me coined/shaped and now goes it again loosely with 3121. I´m 44

I'm age 38 and my favorite years are 1978-1984 by far over everything else.

I prefer from 1978-1988, although from 89-present there have been some
really great music. In his early days P poured out tons of music for himeslf & others, so many classic tunes/styles. I like the older stuff because i feel it was more raw.

Prior. Who would prefer an era with albums like "Emancipation", "New Power Soul", "Rave", "NEWS", and "Musicology"?

Personally, I think that The Gold Experience was his second really great album (Purple Rain being the first). I much prefer the 96-06 stuff to the pre-90s stuff.
I'm 17. My favorite albums are TGE, 3121, The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale, Chocolate Invasion/Slaughterhouse.

[Edited 8/7/06 2:50am] Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean it can't happen. Who the hell are you to tell somebody they can't have a different opinion about when they think his best music was made? You shouldn't assume someone's being contrary just for the hell of it. Believe it or not, there are really people out there who DO honestly prefer his 90s stuff, what should that matter to you? What should that matter to ANY of you?? Stop trying to tell people what they should think.

I'm just saying I can't imagine it - If someone does prefer 96-06 to 78-95, then whoop-di-doo for them, I couldn't give a flying fig, I'm just saying I can't see it.

There are lots of likes and a few dislikes for me in every Prince era. I wouldn't say I prefer this to that, becuase it's like comparing apples to oranges. I'm 29.
Actually, my girlfriend likes his recent output a lot, and isn't too enthusiastic about his 80s work. She's 25.
