BEST LIVE tracks

How about some ppl posting ideas of some of the best live tracks we've heard or seen???

This way when the man himself checks out this site he'll have some ideas of what to
put on a LIVE BOX SET!!!

He's busy and probably doesn't have the time to go thru the vault or reherasal or concert tapes as we would like.

Computer Blue from the August 1983 Benefit concert at First Ave. Really, just about anything from that show.

Just My Imagination from Small Club boot.

Hell, there are hundreds of them. biggrin

One live track I absolutley love is The Continental from Act I New York 1993 (I think it might be a Radio City Music Hall show). Prince and the NPG change the song into "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and The Drells halfway through.

Prince calls on the band to "Let's make it mellow!" with that horn line a couple of times. He splits the audience into the ladies and the fellas to do some backing vox, "I can't hear the fellas!". Sonny T. on the bass, keeps that groove going throughout, Levi on rhythm guitar gets his scratch on. Oh Man! I love Tighten Up, I wish I had seen that live, every time I play it I can't stop moving.

Well I my be shot for saying this but what the hell.

Last year "One Nite Alone" in Detroit. All I heard walking down Broadway was bass! I ask my date "who is that?!" When we walked through the crowded doors of the Detroit Opera House. The title track, 'The Rainbow Children' was shaking the walls, with it's funky-heavy bass-line. It was knockin'!
On the to our seats, I caught a glimpse of Prince standing in a Jet Black Pin-Stripe suit. Doing the 'Bob George' voice. I had already enjoyed TRC, but after that 'live' experience, I played it even louder in my car. It took it to a whole new level.

Blue cool
Dont play me

And also 'Love thy Will be Done'. Not sure of the venue but it was sometime during the 98 European tour.
And also 'Days of Wild'. I've only ever heard the one studio version on Crystal Ball and it does not even compare to the various live versions out there.
