Pic of that Little Red Corvette billboard

Hey. A friend in Boston took this picture of a billboard for the infamous Little Red Corvette ads from Chevrolet. I've yet to see the ads personally-- tv or print. Here's a link to a picture of the billboard ad for those interested.

http://www.uofl.edu/~kbob...rvette.jpg

Don't "flame me" if some already posted a pic, please. I didn't feel like spending 20 minutes searching through miscellaneous posts.

Oh, and, the pic is located on my school website. I just graduated, so that site might not be available too much longer. If the link doesn't work in the near future, you'll know why.

Yeah, that's what I find most disturbing, not the actual billboard. I don't remember seeing their name on the same Corvette billboards in my neighborhood.

interesting in the " you're much 2 fast "
they used the "2" instead of "too", but didn't use the "U" instead of "you"...

In his defense, it was likely Chevy who had the ad placed, not P--but i still thought it was interesting.

Actually I wasn't wondering about who place the ad, that's pretty obvious. I just wonder if Clear Channel has anything to do with it.

If billboards are the same all over...Clear Channel owns the billboard itself. The ads will change, but the board belongs to Clear Channel.

Not really Supernova. Clear Channel won't play Prince's music because he's not in the label game and the label pays Clear Channel $$ to pay their "music." Clear Channel will put a quote of a Prince lyric on one of their billboard 'cause Chevy paid them to do so.

Business.

I suggest you do a search to find out what Clear Channel's practices are like, if you don't understand. Dubious in more ways than one, indeed.

I didn't think they could use the symbol without Prince's permission...or did he give it to them?

Odd use of it in any case, since the song is written by "Prince"...

-credited prince in stead of symbol
-changed the 'you' into a 'U'
