Any UK'ers notice Fury being played in Ian Beales Cafe in last nights Episode of EasteEnders (UK Soap) !!!! I wonder how they go about getting the performing rights for songs

No way thats sooo cool!!!! I didn't watch it last night, but i'll be watching the omnibus on sunday!! hehe

If I remember correctly then I think artists who want their songs played in the UK sign some sort of agreement that allows small clips of them to be used in soaps etc, it might be a BBC thing to cover their radio shows or it might be for all channels (I'm not sure on that one), but I don't think they need to get right for each individual song, like I say, from what I remember you sign some stuff when you release music that allows small clips to be used.

It's like when UK TV Gold used Immigrant Song by Led Zep in an advert about vikings, I doubt they needed to use explicit permission as it was a BBC advert.

Anyone else clarify on this?
