Why No Star yet?

[b]I've seen this question before, but I didn't get in on the thread. Why doesn't Prince have a Star on the Walk of Fame yet? I think a sponsor has to put up $10,000, and it could take up to 3 years before it's made official. Does Prince just not have enough friends or 1 close friend? Are the fans going to have to have a pledge drive?

Can y'all imagine Hollywood Blvd if he got a Star? It would be a madhouse, and I'd be right there lovin' it!! lol
