Based on Prince's past actions/reactions we should be hearing from Prince around or on August 22nd. How many times in the past has WB released a cd & Prince uses that day to announce a new project? He did it with RAVE & I thought he did it with TRC. So my GUESS is that August 22nd will bring an announcement. That way he deflects the attention that Ultimate & the DVD will get when they are released.

August 18th or there abouts is a marker. In 1999 around August 18th the "Grand Cross" aka other names, was formed by the planet's alignment around the sun.

It's more the other way around, Warners put out The Vault the same time as Rave, The Very Best against TRC, and wanted to put out Ultimate against 3121!

No, you're right, but I didn't mean exactly the same time, although with Prince releasing albums every year (or at least used to) I guess it was inevitable they'd be within months of each other. I do remember going into a store to buy Rave and found The Vault on display next to it and buying them both, pre-on-the-internet-constantly days I hadn't heard anything about The Vault at the time!
