well, maybe in just one store ... i found the special remix edition of "rave" in a record shop over the weekend. it was new, factory-sealed and everything, for $12.99. they actualy had two copies. i was wondering if anyone else found the same thing ... i was quite happy, cuz it's going for $30 or so on ebay.

i think the cd is brilliant, by the way. it's worth the price alone for "beautiful strange."

I wish I could get my hands on that because P had a sample once of dance song remix from this R2 on his site and it was slammin! I think it was 'Hot Wit U'?

yeah - all of the remixes are dramatically different. wait till you hear the "man o war" remix. not to mention the extended versions of "greatest romance" and "tangerine." i think the cd flows better than the official album, and it sheds new light on an album i quickly put on the shelf after buying it. hey - i'll burn you a copy if you want.

I also saw it in HMV.

Wow I couldn't disagree more. I think that it quite possibly the worst thing that Prince has ever put on cd. The remixes are boring and the extended version are extended for no apparant reason being as they don't add anything to the songs. I don't think the album is half as good as RaveUn2 (which is no masterpiece). The only reason to own this disc is for "Beautiful Strange".

Hey, are you all serious??? UNDISPUTED matches one of raps top voices (Chuck D. of Public Enemy) of all time getting with it with Prince. That cut alone makes the CD a great deal. And I'm not evening MENTIONING Rave, the title track that takes you into another world. Baby Knows...I've always envisioned the Rolling Stones performing that track with Prince. Now THAT would be something!!!

I like Rave in2 more than Rave un2...except for the title track. This remix of that song is...well, let's just say I don't like it.

Just make a combo CD of the best from Rave in2/ un2 and you've got a pretty decent Prince album.
