Just discovered "So High"

i've never heard of this song before today after stumbling across a sample of it. Now this is what i'm talking about!! This sound was The Golden Age of his Royal Baddness!

For those that thought this was around the time of the Gold album, you're wrong, That was his Aluminum Age. biggrin

Anyways, the sample i heard sounds hot! drool

for those of you that have been blessed with this sonic jewel, am i just hyping this up or is it really a hot track?

i'm sure it led to the creation of another song who's has a very similar guitar riff. Though, i would still like to hear this process.

that's what i was thinkin' too. i didn't realize it went over 10 mins. i suppose it's best to release music like that whenever creating a song, then you can place every possible variable that makes sense all and one place and then talior it to whatever suits you best. smile

It's an idea, not a fully fleshed song. The thing seems to go on forever. A song like I Hate U beats it by a mile.

There's two versions of Purple Music plus a piano rehearsal. They're all mighty long tracks and the piano rehearsal in particular is rather longwinded. neutral

I fucking love 'Purple Music', it would've made a kick-ass b-side to one of the 1999 singles.

I listen to Purple Music, I hear house music, Prince was way on the ball with this one - Absolutely spell-binding. cool cool

There's people doing stuff like this now and they're hailed as dance music pioneers!

Yea i think its aight. I agree with the All The Critics comparison. And that was never one of my faves either. More of a monotonous jam really.
