It would have done very well. I think the main reason why SOTT didn't sell even better was that it was a little pricey being a double album. Especially after the Under the Cherry Moon movie flopping. The Camille album not only would have been a little less expensive but it was also full of single potential-not to say that SOTT wasn't.

this could have been a major major project 4 him
at the time flyte time and jesse johnson was kicking his arse in the r&b department
camille was the answer 2 the people who said he"lost his fire"

he would have had his black radio audience back with that album
i remember when lovesexy was released, black radio was playing Good Love more than Alphabet St.

What was the song line up for the Camille tape?
I have seen so many different line up for it.
This also maybe a bit off topic but is 'Erotic City' considered the first offical 'Cammile' song by fans?

To tell the truth the Camille Album is far superior to the Black Album and would be just as classic as SOTT if not better. I wish that it would somehow get released by Prince or WB even if it was just to rake in money. It would be the FUNKIEST Prince album ever hands down. I have my own but it would be great to have an original with art work from that era.

Camille would surpass SOTT...at least in terms of fan aclaim!

It's a near perfect album...with no filler in it!
