See what I mean? This is typical prince.org -- always has been and always will be. I've posted since the black screen days and to sum it all up:

A: I love Prince no matter what he says/does! Anyone who doesn't swallow everything he dishes is not a "true" fam!

B: I hate Prince no matter what he says/does! Anyone who swallows everything he dishes is a musically uneducated moron!

B: You're an ass-kisser!

C: I just heard Musicology and I think it's awesome! I've heard that Prince has done other albums, too and was wondering if anyone can tell me what his favorite color is, where I can get his autograph and does he ever post on this board?

The whole thing can be a hoot if you just sit back and let it flow. Don't allow yourself to get baited, keep your energy positive and ignore the rest. It's just entertainment!

The beauty of this place is that it's an excellent example of the realities of free speech. Prince fans come in all shapes, sizes and colors, from all countries, all social and economic strata and all walks of life. They come here because at some time, in some way, Prince and/or his music had an impact on them whether it was positive or negative. Except for a few rules against sharing specifics on bootleg sources and wildly nasty personal attacks, this forum allows everyone and anyone to share their opinions of that experience.

Free speech also means no guarantee was that you will never be offended nor does it give you any control over the opinion of another. In the end, you choose whether to share your opinion and, if you do, be prepared to defend it staunchly. accept feedback with an open mind or ignore it completely.
