Graffiti Bridge wasn't a completely awful flick. 1999, as an album, is comprised of half great / half weak material. Adore is totally limp, one of his weaker ballads. Adore may be the single most overrated song in Prince's catalogue. SOTT (the album) is also very overrated among fans and as far as I'm concerned, would have been better as one LP/disc. The Revolution was not Prince's best band (that would be the Lovesexy Band  )
Prince does not look sexy with a typhoon hairdo. 
Mayte, her dancing, and her booty were not ALL THAT and the music he created when she was his "muse" is some of his weakest. Musicology is a thoroughly mediocre album. Please don't hurt me... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Parade is his best album by far, nothing comes close.
I don't mind the whole name change/symbol era. His jazzy-stuff is underrated. The 1999 album is overrated, funky as it is, it isn't diverse so it's not up there with Parade, Lovesexy, SOTT and The Rainbow Children. The 1999 song is his worst song ever. New Power Soul isn't that bad as people say it is. Rave un2 The Year 2000 was a great concert. For You and Prince are crap. I think it's a shame Prince and Michael Jackson never worked together. The Most Beautiful Girl is a beautiful balad, great melody. Prince is not a bad rapper.  | |

The song Purple Rain should be stricken from his repertoire. It represents the lower end of his work. Kirky J should be brought back and featured on his next album. The guy's amazing!!
