Mountains 7"edit MP3 Don't you just hate the fact that SOME Prince songs were only released in vinyl format?
Like Mountains' 7" edit is unique due to the fact that it is unmixed; on the album the fade-out of Mountains is mixed into the little French gilr's line about paradise, on the 7" edit this is not the case and there is a clean fade-out. And of course this was only released on a SEVEN INCH vinyl release. Hard to find a good MP3 version of... Now my Parade Experience playlist is missing a track. And no, the version on the first Peach single is NOT a CD-quality version of the 7" version, they just faded it out before the scream you can still hear on the vinyl version.

I have it. I actually have five versions of it, just no real taste for whipping out my record player out of storage, hooking it onto my computer and ripping it... Well, maybe on tuesday. cantbuggerytypeanymore [Edited 7/23/06 12:40pm]

Yes, I hate it! I have all of Prince's CDs but of course I am still missing some songs (e.g. extended versions/b sides) because they can only be found on vinyl. I've started collecting the vinyl, but c'mon, it will take me YEARS and hundreds of $$$ to get them all... And even if I get them on vinyl, then I have the problem of getting them transfered to my laptop or a cd (I have no idea where to begin to do that.) Prince should just re-release all of it on CD or downloadable from iTunes or something. I promise I'll buy them all! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I agree, it's a pain when stuff only available on vinyl has never been issued on CD.

I just ripped it!
I keep forgetting the difference between vinyl and bad digital rips. This sounds SO great!
