Latly i've been feeling drawn to this CD, as if it were fruit on the vine only now becoming ripe.

You know, you could "hear" this about any album of Prince's after lovesexy. But truthfully, I feel it is a powerful statement that works well. I feel it is an upbeat tempoed CD with good grooves. I'd say it is worth checking out.

I feel TRC was an intresting artistic expression. But I am willing to say that NewPower Soul was the last Prince Album I actually had fun with.

I got it but it usually is locked up in its case all the time. Are some good bits but not one of my favs!

When I bought it last summer it was unbearable to me, now it is in my top ten Prince CD's

I remember thinking it was just average when I first listened to it. After a few spins I began to like it better. By the time Rave came out NPS was one of my favs and has remained at that status for me...sort of a guilty pleasure.

It was cool...first they played "Come on" and then at the closing credits Prince kinda did a "reprise" of the song with a funky rap. I thought it was cool the audience seemed to be really enjoying it too.
